The process of inputting or entering data from source documents into the computer's memory is known as data entry. The data fed into the computer from the source document can be performed in two ways :
1. Direct Data Entry
2. Remote Data Entry
The data entered within the computer premises is referred as direct data entry, whereas the data entered at one place and stored it in some other place is remote data entry needed in. Data of all the students are entered into the computer and stored which will be for the next operation. Diskette data entry systems have become popular.
