COPY CON
The COPY CON command along with the file name is used to create a new file in MS-DOS.
Syntax
COPY CON file name [ext]
Where,
file name : name of file (1 to 8 characters) that you want to create.
ext : extension of file (1-3 characters)
Example 1
C:\>COPY CON COMPUTER (press enter key)
Saving file in MS-DOS
After typing the content of files and to save it you have to
Press F6 key
or
Press Ctrl+Z (Press enter to get DOS Prompt)
Example 2
C:\>COPY CON CLASSIX (press enter key)
Instruction : write few lines expressing how may students are there in your class IX, how many boys,
how many girls, name of your computer teacher, etc.
Save pressing F6 and press enter key to get DOS prompt again.
