Mini computers resemble a mainframe computers but they are comparatively small and less expensive.Mini computers are less powerful than Mainframe and more powerful than Micro computers.The first Mini computer was introduced in 1965 by Digital Equipment Corporations(DEC).
The processing speed lies in the range 10-30MIPS.The memory of the computer(i.e.RAM) capacity lies in the range 8-256 MB.The hard disk used in the mini computers have capacity up to 3GBytes or more.They can support 64 to 100 terminals.
