Configuring your system with configuration file CONFIG.SYS

MS-DOS has a special file to configure your system. With this file the configuration is automatically set up in the correct manner when the computer is started up.This file is known to be CONFIG.SYS file.
The CONFIG.SYS file may already be present in your system disk or hard disk.
Creating CONFIF.SYS
Example 
C:COPY CON CONFIG.SYS  (press enter key)
Instruction 
Type the command as
FILES = 40
BUFFER = 20
Instruction : save the file

Displaying HELP Information in MS-DOS
You can specify the following command behind the DOS prompt to get information regarding any command.
Example 1
C:\>HELP  (press enter key)
It will show name of the commnds and provides a concise description of each command.
-  Press the TAB key to move to the desired command.
-  Press enter key to see the description of the command.
Example 2 
C:\>HELP DIR  (press enter key)
It will show the details of DIR command.
Note : You can use any command infront of HELP to see it s description.
Example 3
C:\>DIR/?  ( press enter key )
You can use / and ? infront of nay command (e.g DIR) to get description about it
