It was first developed in 1975.The personal computers have four main components.They are as follows:
1.Input devices : Devices which are used to enter information and instructions( e.g.:keyboard).
2.C.P.U.(Central Processing Unit) : It is a processor which process information according to the instructions of the program.
3.Memory : It stores the information and the same information can be retrieved whenever desired(e.g.RAM,Floppy disk,Hard disk).
4.Output devices :These devices are the means of communicating to the outside world(e.g.monitor,printer).
PC's are most popular because of its wide applications areas .Writing simple letters to Desktop Publishing, from video games to railway and airlines ticketing and so on can be done with P.C.
